Jazz Comes Out Of Retirement To Compete In IMPACT

Former WWE Women’s Champion Jazz is returning to the ring for IMPACT Wrestling!

Jazz was unveiled as Jordynne Grace’s tag team partner for the Knockouts Tag Team Titles Tournament on this week’s show, having previously vacated the NWA Women’s Championship, and confirming her retirement this past year.

Jazz and Jordynne Grace will take on Killer Kelly and Renee Michelle on next week’s show.

The legendary Jazz vacated the NWA title on April 22nd, due to medical and personal reasons, ending a 948-day title reign, and clarified her retirement in October to Chris Van Vliet.

“Honestly, I just had my last match this past Sunday. I am done in the ring. I was going to do a whole tour in 2020 but, with the pandemic happening, that screwed everything up. I’ve been having issues with my knees and my back and a lot more issues physically, mentally and emotionally. That’s why I had to forfeit the NWA title. I have two beautiful daughters and I have to focus on them right now.”

Jazz’s reign as the NWA champion is the third longest reign in the company’s history, behind Debbie Combs and The Fabulous Moolah. However, Jazz stated that she would like to retire after winning the championships with Jordynne Grace. As well as NWA and WWE, Jazz has also competed in AEW, in the Casino Battle Royale at All Out, 2019.
