Jay White To Find Out His Next Challenger On Dynamite

Jay White IWGP World Champion

‘Switchblade’ Jay White might have rebuffed the advances of Adam Page and Adam Cole but the IWGP World Champion will find out his next challenger on AEW Dynamite.

With Forbidden Door just around the corner, the eyes of the wrestling world will be on AEW Dynamite to see what last-minute thrills and spills occur before the finest stars AEW and New Japan Pro Wrestling have to offer do battle in Chicago.

An Interim AEW World Champion will be crowned at the event as a result of the injury to CM Punk. Hiroshi Tanahashi will face Jon Moxley in a dream bout to crown that champion. The IWGP United States Title will also be on the line as Will Ospreay faces Orange Cassidy.

More AEW gold could change hands as Thunder Rosa defends her AEW Women’s Title against Toni Storm and both the Ring of Honor and IWGP Tag Team Titles will be on the line in a winner take all match between FTR, United Empire, and Roppongi Vice.

But what about one of the most prestigious titles in all of wrestling, the IWGP World Heavyweight Title? Current champion Jay White does not yet have an opponent for Forbidden Door but that is all about to change. Speaking on Busted Open, Tony Khan has revealed White’s opponent will be announced on Dynamite.

According to Khan, the Countdown special for Forbidden Door will air Friday night at 11 pm EST following Rampage and he has promised more NJPW wrestlers on Dynamite than fans have previously seen before.
