Jaxson Ryker has returned to WWE, appearing on this week’s Main Event alongside Elias.
Ryker had been missing from WWE for almost eight months, with The Forgotten Sons officially parting ways this week as Wesley Blake and Steve Cutler aligned with King Corbin on SmackDown.
It seems like Jaxson Ryker has been quietly moved to RAW, with Fightful Select noting that the pairing with Elias was a “dry run” to see if the pairing worked in an effort to pitch the duo to Vince McMahon.
It’s also noted that Ryker was not brought to TV, and was not featured on internal roster sheets for months. His return to TV on Main Event, which is taped before WWE RAW in the ThunderDome, was Ryker’s first appearance on WWE television since May. Having signed with WWE in 2017, Ryker has thus-far mainly featured on NXT, with the Forgotten Sons’ SmackDown run lasting less than one month.
Elias had teased a slight change to his character on social media ahead of RAW. It’s unclear whether the pairing with Ryker will be a part of that going forward, but the change was said to be due to his “electrocution” last week in the Symphony of Destruction Match against Jeff Hardy.
