Japanese Legend Saves Sting During AEW Rampage Taping [SPOILER, VIDEO]

No one saw it coming when this legend who was thought to be retired made a shock appearance during the latest AEW Rampage taping to rescue Sting!

Sting and Darby Allin have been embroiled in a feud against the House of Black for quite some time, and during the latest AEW Rampage tapings (courtesy of F4WOnline), Sting and Allin were victorious over Brody King and Buddy Matthews.

The finish came about in shocking fashion, as it seemed Matthews was about to attack Sting with his signature baseball bat while The Icon’s hands were tied behind his back as he was forced to sit in a chair. However, the lights in Arthur Ashe Stadium went out, leaving everyone in darkness.

A fan video has surfaced of the events after the lights came back on, and in the video, the Great Muta first appears as though he’s going to confront his fellow WCW legend. However, he soon turns his attention to Buddy Matthews, who tried to attack the legend but was quickly taken down. Matthews was then the recipient of Muta spraying mist in his face, which led to him knocking fellow House of Black member Julia Hart off the apron and onto a table.

Sting was able to pin Matthews for the victory, and after the match, he and Muta hugged in a show of respect.

Muta’s appearance was especially shocking as the Japanese star appeared to announce his retirement back in June.
