Jake Roberts Says He’s “Back In The Saddle” Following Surgery

Jake Roberts

WWE Hall Of Famer Jake Roberts is raring to get back to AEW after sitting out several weeks of television after undergoing surgery on his foot.

The legendary Jake ‘The Snake’ made his AEW debut in March 2020, confronting Cody Rhodes and promising to bring his own client into the company so he could take a slice of Cody’s pie. The next week Roberts was seen walking to ringside with the debuting Lance Archer. Since then, Roberts has been at Archer’s side as he has competed for the TNT Championship as well as the AEW World Championship during his run in the company.

That was until several weeks ago when Roberts had to undergo foot surgery as was first reported by Cassidy Haynes of Bodyslam.

Now Jake Roberts has taken to social media to provide an update on his condition:

“After 5 weeks off 4 surgery I was bk in the saddle again. Wow what a rush!! (Thx HAWK!!!) I love all the fans that show their appreciation! I came alive!! Thx AEW for making me a part of it. Life is so good”

Jake Roberts was back by Lance Archer’s side for the AEW Dark: Elevation tapings that took place in Rochester, New York before AEW Dynamite aired live on TNT.

Roberts recently inked a new deal with All Elite Wrestling and spoke about the new contract with friend and fellow WWE Hall Of Famer, Diamond Dallas Page:

“Thanks to Tony Khan, when I originally signed with them, it was for a ten-week deal. I eight weeks, the guy comes along with some papers and is like ‘you need to sign these.’ ‘What for?’ ‘It’s your contract.’ ‘Dude, I only have two weeks left.’ ‘No, you have another year.’ A few weeks ago, I buzz Tony and say, ‘I have four weeks left, what do you want me to do?’ Next thing you know, he starts setting up my stuff and says, ‘You need to sign another piece of paper.’ I sign it again and after I signed it, I found it that is wasn’t for a year, it was for two years. He’s such a wonderful man. He gave me my love for wrestling back. It’s great to be part of it.”
