Jake “The Snake” Roberts is known for a lot of things: Hilariously smoking cigarettes before his matches, being the inventor of the DDT, and of course, terrorizing fellow wrestlers with his snakes. Pretty soon, you’ll be able to read all of these stories in detail, plus more, in an upcoming autobiography that Roberts is working on.
Recently on the “DDP Snake Pit” podcast with Diamond Dallas Page and Conrad Thompson, Jake Roberts gave an update on the book. “The Snake” said that it’s still being worked on, however, fans can expect its release sooner than they think.
“In fact, I sniped one of your guys. He done a bunch of research for me. I paid him well and got me the information I needed, so I can tell you that I’m going to be finishing that book within the next month.”
If you’ve followed or know of Jake Roberts’ career, then you’re most likely aware of quite a few stories, both inside and outside of the ring, that he’s been involved with – and there’s a ton. As a result, you expect there to be a lot of content featured in this book, and that’s exactly what Roberts has planned.
“I’m doing it all on my own. I’m paying my way the whole way through. I’ll buy as many books as I can and then when I sell them off, I’ll buy some more, but I’m not going to give my book away. We’re looking at about 600 pages, 700 pages.”
When Jake Roberts’ autobiography is released, both WWE Hall of Famers and co-hosts of “DDP Snake Pit” will have their own books. In 2019, Diamond Dallas Page released his book titled “Positively Unstoppable,” which is both a DDP autobiography and self-help read.
