The WWE Hall of Famer recalls giving Bryan Danielson some needed reassurance after he was fired from WWE back in 2010.

During the Nexus angle in 2010, Bryan Danielson was let go by WWE for choking Justin Roberts with his tie. He would eventually return at SummerSlam and help John Cena’s team defeat the Nexus in the main event. Although Danielson would leave a significant mark on the WWE landscape, fans watching then weren’t sure Danielson would be called back into the company. Now, one WWE Hall of Famer has opened up about giving Danielson some needed reassurance all those years ago.

In the latest episode of DDP Snake Pit, Jake Roberts revealed a conversation he had with Danielson after WWE fired him. Roberts seemingly knew what WWE would eventually bring him back.

“So I talked to him, I said, ‘brother, don’t worry about it because you got one thing they can’t give away, talent’. Just be cool right now, go over and do something else it doesn’t matter. Just stay cool. Your hands have been slapped, that’s what’s gonna happen. They’re gonna get you back, don’t worry, you got too much talent to be stopped and boom, a few, I guess six, seven months later, he was back.”

Danielson went on to become United States Champion after defeating The Miz at Night of Champions. Afterward, he wrested countless other WWE superstars, including Triple H at WrestleMania 30. Danielson departed from the company last year and transitioned over to AEW.
