Footage has emerged online of Jake Atlas’ May arrest on charges related to allegations of domestic violence.
On May 23rd, Jake Atlas was arrested and charged with misdemeanour battery (a domestic assault charge) against his partner of several years.
The police report relating to the incident noted that Atlas had been drinking and called his partner in order to get a lift home at 10pm. However, when his partner arrived, Atlas wanted them to stay and continue drinking. It was alleged that Atlas wanted them to go to a friends house to be intimate together, however he quickly became upset that his partner was showing “half more attention to her,” which initiated a “verbal argument.”
Atlas later became “physically aggressive” and charged at his partner, causing a witness to intervene.
TMZ Sports have now obtained footage of Atlas’ arrest where he insulted both his partner and the arresting officers.
The case against Atlas was later dropped with an official declaring that the case was “not suitable for prosecution.”
Jake Atlas joined WWE in 2018, signing a deal with the company a year later. He went on to appear on both NXT and 205 live before being released on August 6th 2021.
Atlas later appeared in AEW, although it was reported that he was signed to a per-appearance deal, rather than a full-time contract. Atlas suffered a knee injury in a match on January 7th, at which point the agreement was paused. However, the deal expired and the report stated that he is not expected to return to the company.
