It has been announced that Jade Cargill will be defend her TBS Championship at AEW Double or Nothing in Las Vegas.

On the May 20th edition of AEW Rampage, Kris Statlander took on Red Velvet for a place in the semi-finals of the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.

Statlander was taking the place of Hikaru Shida who was originally scheduled to be part of the bracket.

In the end, it was Statlander who triumphed, but the bigger story arguably came after the bell. With the match over, Kiera Hogan and Red Velvet attacked Statlander, which brought out Ruby Soho to even the score. However, this in turn brought out Jade Cargill, who joined her Baddies in putting the boots to their rivals.

With the beatdown in full swing, Anna Jay ran to ringside and chased off Cargill, Hogan and Red Velvet.

Later on in the show, a fired up Jade Cargill said that if Anna Jay wanted to get involved in other people’s business, she should come to Double or Nothing and get her ass kicked. The match was made official a short time later.

Jade Cargill has held the TBS Championship since being crowned the inaugural champion on January 5th where she defeated Ruby Soho. Cargill’s latest defence came on April 20th where she saw off the challenge of Maina Shafir. Cargill has had 32 matches in AEW and is yet to taste defeat.

Elsewhere on the show it was announced that The Hardys will face the Young Bucks, also at Double or Nothing. After weeks of tension, the Young Bucks laid down the challenge to the tag team legends, and the bout was made official later in the show.

The Bucks and The Hardys are two of the most decorated and most influential teams in history, meaning fans have been clamouring for this match ever since Jeff joined his brother Matt in AEW. The two teams last met in a Ladder Match at ROH Supercard of Honor in April 2017.
