Jade Cargill Responds To Fans That Want Her In WWE
TBS Champion Jade Cargill has discussed why she’s happy with her choice in joining AEW instead of WWE and says her debut would have been nowhere near as big in Vince McMahon’s company.
Cargill burst onto the AEW scene in early 2021 confronting Cody Rhodes at the apparent behest of NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal. This led to Jade Cargill’s debut match in the company where she teamed with Shaq to defeat Rhodes and Red Velvet.
One year later, Jade Cargill is still undefeated and is the inaugural and reigning TBS Champion in AEW. Speaking on Complex Unsanctioned, Cargill responded to the notion that she might be a better fit for WWE than the land of All Elite:
“I’m indifferent about it. I think AEW, we have more hardcore wrestling fans and I think WWE is more of the glitz and glamour, which I love that. Obviously, I’m about the glitz and glamour and I could see how that would be an easier pill to swallow for fans than for me to be at such a hardcore wrestling base like AEW.”
“But I like where I’m at. I made a choice, I stuck with my choice and I would never, ever, ever, ever get the debut that I got here at AEW if I had gone to WWE. Like, I would never.”
