A new report has claimed to “know for a fact” that WWE are interested in signing AEW star Jade Cargill.
While there has been a steady flow of WWE Superstars or former WWE Superstars heading to AEW in search of a new and different challenge, there is yet to be a move in the opposite direction. However, that doesn’t mean that WWE aren’t interested in making such a move happen.
Following reports that WWE are “extremely interested” in securing the services of Wardlow when his current contract expires, a new report has claimed they also have their eye on another star.
Speaking on the Mat Men Podcast, Andrew Zarian noted that he “knows for a fact” that WWE hold an interest in Jade Cargill. The TBS Champion has previously revealed that she turned down an offer from WWE in order to sign with AEW after a try-out.
“I know for a fact that people in WWE are interested in her now that they’ve gotten to see what she can do on TV,”
Jade Cargill currently stands as the TBS Champion with a perfect 27-0 record. It’s a run which has earned the star comparisons with WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg.
The TBS Champion was most recently in action on the February 9th episode of AEW Dynamite where she defeated AQA.
That episode also saw the AEW debut of another former WWE Superstar in the shape of Keith Lee. On the most recent episode of Rampage it had been announced that Isiah Kassidy would be squaring off against a mystery signing.
With Kassidy already in the ring, Lee made his debut to a monster ovation dispatching his opponent in short order with a series of eye-catching throws and powerslams.
