Jade Cargill Reflects On One Year In WWE, Details What She Most Proud Of

WWE Superstar Jade Cargill opened up about her unexpected journey and warm reception from fans during her first year with the company.

The former AEW TBS Champion, who joined WWE in September 2023, in a recent interview with Sports Business Journal, expressed her astonishment at the overwhelmingly positive response she has received.

This year went by so quick; the WWE fan base surprised me in all kinds of ways. I didn’t think that I was going to be accepted the way I was accepted. They came in with open arms.

Reflecting on her in-ring debut at the Royal Rumble in January, Jade Cargill described the atmosphere as electrifying, stating:

I’ve never seen anything like it.

This moment marked the beginning of a whirlwind year for the athlete, who has since competed at major events such as WrestleMania XL, Bash In Berlin, and Clash At The Castle: Scotland. Among her achievements, Cargill highlighted winning the Tag Team Championships alongside Bianca Belair as a significant milestone. However, her most profound accomplishment was personal rather than professional.

My mother passed away this year. It was a hard moment for me, but I pushed through it.

She explained the difficulty of losing her daily confidant and source of maternal wisdom.

I used to talk to my mother every morning about my family, my daughter, what to do if she got sick. If she got a cold, you talk to your mother, and she wasn’t there for me this year.

Despite this heartbreaking loss, Cargill found strength in her resolve.

I would say the thing I’m most proud of is that I was able to push through that, to just strive through parts.
