Jade Cargill has shared her thoughts on her high-risk slip at Clash at the Castle back in June.
During the Women’s Tag Team Championship match, Jade Cargill was tagged in by her teammate Bianca Belair, and attempted a springboard dive. Unfortunately, Cargill’s foot slipped on the top rope, sending her falling to the mat.
In a recent interview with the Metro, Cargill addressed the fall and gave an insight into her thoughts during the incident, explaining how she “had to keep going”:
I just had to keep on going. I can’t just lay there. I’ve never, ever in my career, ever took a fall like that. All these power moves I do, I’ve never failed, I’ve never slipped. So for me to have to do that, you know, mid air, I was like, dang! But I just knew I had to keep going.
Cargill went on to discuss the importance of remaining calm during crucial moments in a match, especially when things go wrong:
A lot of people wouldn’t be able to do that. They would probably crumble under pressure. But diamonds are created under pressure, and that’s what I am.
Jade Cargill debuted for WWE back in January in the women’s Royal Rumble match, eliminating Nia Jax, Becky Lynch, and Naomi, and picked up a victory at Wrestlemania XL in April. It appears WWE feels very much like home to Cargill, who has praised the welcoming environment and Triple H’s leadership.
Jade Cargill Hopeful For Dream Match Against TNA Star
Jade Cargill has voiced her desire to one day face off against a certain member of the TNA roster. Despite being competitors, WWE and TNA have recently formed a partnership that allows wrestlers to crossover between the platforms, with Joe Hendry being a notable example. It seems Cargill is keen to capitalise on this opportunity, describing the TNA star as her dream opponent.
