Jade Cargill Dealing With Legitimate Injury; When Is WWE Star Expected To Return?

More information has come to light regarding the Jade Cargill attack on WWE SmackDown.

As was seen on the November 22nd episode of SmackDown, the Women’s Tag Team Champion was laid out on the hood of a car during the match between Chelsea Green, Blair Davenport and Cargill’s tag team partner Bianca Belair. Upon seeing the footage on the big screen, Belair rushed to the back, allowing Green to capitalise and win the match.

Following the attack, the company provided an update on Jade Cargill, stating that the SmackDown star had suffered multiple injuries and there was no timetable for her return.

Spoilers from the November 29th episode of SmackDown state that a segment will take place on the next episode that sees Bayley replace Cargill in the upcoming WarGames match.

In a further update by Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer, Cargill is dealing with a legitimate injury and will be out of action for at least 3 months:

Bayley replaces Jade Cargill in the women’s WarGames match at Survivor Series in Vancouver. We did get confirmation that Cargill is injured but the severity wasn’t known internally past those involved in creative were told it will be a minimum of three months out, maybe longer, which is why they released the story of such severe injuries.

At the time of writing, the future of Cargill and Belair as Women’s Tag Team Champions has not been addressed.

Who Attacked Jade Cargill?

Although the attack was carried out to write Cargill off TV to deal with the undisclosed injury, the mystery attacker will be revealed in the future. While Jade Cargill’s attacker is unknown at this time, a former Women’s Champion was labelled by many as the prime suspect, prompting a response to deny any involvement.
