Jacob Fatu Rescued By WWE Babyfaces After SmackDown Goes Off-Air

Jacob Fatu found himself with new backup on WWE SmackDown

Jacob Fatu had a good start to SmackDown this week when he launched an unsuspecting attack on Solo Sikoa at the beginning of the show. And that eventually had repercussions.

SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis set up a tag team match between Jimmy Uso and Jacob Fatu against Solo Sikoa and JC Mateo. Sikoa won the United States Championship from The Samoan Werewolf last weekend. The two who once bonded over family ties came to hellish blows after Jacob Fatu failed to execute Solo Sikoa’s orders to help him win at Money in the Bank. Fatu turned on his cousin, and that escalated with The Enforcer bringing in JC Mateo in his corner.

After the main event on the blue brand, JC Mateo, Tonga Loa, and the newest member of the group, Tala Tonga, took down Jacob Fatu. The show was pre-taped owing to the 4th of July weekend; however, after the televised show concluded, Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso ran out to aid the fallen WWE star.

Solo Sikoa Introduces New Name For His Faction On SmackDown

Solo Sikoa officially inaugurated Tala Tonga as the newest member of his group. The nearly 7-foot giant made his WWE debut at Night of Champions, where he attacked Jacob Fatu. This cemented his spot in the group led by Sikoa.

On SmackDown, the new Bloodline leader formally declared Tala Tonga’s addition to the group. The 32-year-old highlighted JC Mateo and Tonga Loa’s positioning, pointing out how they were all the family he needed and titled them ‘My Family Tree,’ indicating a potential rebranding of the faction.

While this is the beginning of things to come for Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu’s feud, a multi-man tag team clash could be set on the horizon.
