After months of waiting, finally, something new has emerged on Jack Perry.
Since losing his TNT Championship to Daniel Garcia last year at Full Gear 2024, Perry has been absent from AEW television. While he last wrestled Yota Tsuji for the IWGP Global Championship at Wrestle Dynasty 2025, his absence from the Jacksonville-based promotion continues.
Now, after almost six months, WrestleVotes Radio on SportsKeeda’s WrestleBinge shared a major new update on Perry’s AEW status ahead of the All In 2025 PPV. As per the latest reports, Perry was recently present backstage at a few AEW shows and seemed in good spirits. While present backstage, there have been no confirmed updates on Perry’s return.
We at ITR Wrestling shall update the story on Perry’s return once we hear more.
Drew McIntyre Once Revealed The Story Behind His Iconic Photo With Jack Perry
Last year, during Drew McIntyre’s heated rivalry with CM Punk, The Scottish Warrior had uploaded an image on X(Twitter) of him posing with Jack Perry. Perry shares quite a long history with Punk, and the move was deliberately done to enrage Punk.
Later, while speaking to Chris Van Vliet of Insight, Drew McIntyre shared the story behind that iconic image.
“I was flying to LA and they just did a show the night before. I’d seen Roderick Strong at the airport, a buddy of mine, and we got to catch up, which was awesome. He was heading to an ROH show I believe. And then on the flight, just saw Jack, had a little chat with him and his missus, and then we snapped a picture, and the internet had a freaking meltdown. It was hilarious.
I think it lasted 45 minutes. The numbers I heard were 2 million impressions or something insane for 45 minutes. It was pretty wild. People enjoyed that immensely. So, yeah, I’m always dancing on that line of what’s acceptable, and not acceptable. Make people question things.”
