Kevin Owens is the latest WWE Superstar to speak up about the Vince McMahon allegations.
January 25th saw Vince McMahon accused of sex trafficking and multiple instances of sexual assault by Janel Grant. The allegations cast a dark cloud over the wrestling world that is still being felt one month on. Following on from the disturbing news coming to light, many stars from the wrestling world have commented on the news and what needs to be done moving forward.
Speaking with Alex McCarthy of The Daily Mail at Elimination Chamber, Owens described the events as “terrible” and can never be repeated:
“Everything that has come out is awful. Just terrible. There’s really no words to describe how sad this makes me feel. If the people spoke out went through what they went through, that’s terrible. It’s shameful and it can’t ever happen again. That’s what it comes down to.”
Also during media interviews at Elimination Chamber, Becky Lynch opened up about her own experiences in WWE and discussed the Vince McMahon allegations.
Vince McMahon remains under federal investigation at the time of writing.
Kevin Owens Lastest To Comment As Top Star Is Heavily Criticised
Although multiple main roster stars such as Owens, Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins have all issued statements on the allegation and condemned all that were involved, one of the top stars in company history had a different perspective on the matter. While appearing on Howard Stern, John Cena, who has known McMahon for many years, was asked about the allegations. In a heavily criticised response from fans, John Cena’s response to the Vince McMahon allegations left many baffled by its content.
