“It’s Humbling To Receive That Kind Of Response After All These Years” – Carlito

Former WWE United States Champion, Carlito, has bitten into his participation in the 2021 Royal Rumble Match and performing in front of no fans.

He spits in the face of people who don’t want to be cool and on January 31, 2021, the artist formerly known as Carlito Caribbean Cool made his first in-ring WWE return since May 2010 despite being advertised for, but not appearing at the recent Raw: Legends Night on January 4.

Entering the Royal Rumble at number 8 and only lasting 8:26 before being sent packing by Elias, Carlito was one of several surprise entrances cross both the men’s and women’s marquee matches and following the bout talked to Alyse Ashton about his return to the company:

“Man, it’s crazy. After more than 10 years of being away, I wasn’t expecting, you know… but on the receiving end, for them to remember me, it’s pretty humbling to receive that kind of response after all these years.

It was great. I’ll be honest, it’s not the same as having a live audience out there, but you know, it’s WWE, man. Being in that ring is like nothing else in the world, really. It was great, man. Seeing a bunch of the boys from back in the day, seeing a lot of new faces, meeting a lot of new friends. It’s just a great experience for me, really.”

Following the 2021 Royal Rumble, it was heavily rumoured that Carlito will return to the company on the February 1 Monday Night Raw in order to receive a try-out as a producer for the company. It is a role many of his former colleagues such as Shane Helms, Jamie Noble and Dave Finlay currently serve in.
