‘Good Ol’ J.R’ Jim Ross, has given his opinion of the much talked about clash between Roman Reigns vs. The Rock at WrestleMania 37.
A clash between the cousins has been the noted and preferred main event for the thirty seventh annual ‘Show of Shows’ for months now, with both Dwayne Johnson and the WWE Universal Champion speaking about how much they would love the showdown to take place.
With the brand new ‘Tribal Chief’ gimmick of Roman in full effect and garnering him rave reviews as the best work he’s ever done under the WWE banner, there doesn’t seem to be a better time for the grandson of the original chief to return to attempt to gain revenge for a legacy held hostage.
Now, AEW commentator Jim Ross has spoken on his Grilling J.R Podcast about the likelihood of such a bout and where the final decision for the war lays:
“People are coveting a Rock vs. Roman Reigns match somewhere down the road. I don’t know if it will ever happen, there’s a chance, but it’s all up to The Rock. It isn’t up to anybody else, it’s up to him. His schedule is so crazy, he can’t afford to get hurt because he’s going to lose millions of dollars if he can’t work. Not that he’ll go broke, but nonetheless, he’s special.”
With just over three months left until the curtain raises on WrestleMania, there could be one final hurdle in the way of the Anoa’i family members doing battle on ‘The Grandest Stage of Them All’ and that is the issue of insurance thanks to The Rock’s status as a Hollywood mega-star.
