“It’s A Good Sweet Spot”: Tony Khan On The Ideal Number Of AEW PPVs

Tony Khan has expressed his belief in the potential expansion of the company’s pay-per-view event calendar.

AEW has demonstrated significant growth in recent years, having increased the number of PPV events, with eight unique events in 2023, excluding those organised under the banner of its sister promotion, Ring of Honor.

Elaborating on his reasoning, Khan highlighted the value of maintaining a balance in the number of events, particularly in light of the three Ring of Honor streaming events conducted annually. He noted that by aligning AEW’s nine strongest events with the three notable events of ROH, the combined schedule would offer a well-rounded and compelling series of shows for the audience.

Nine feels like a great number for us, in particular when you also consider I put on three Ring of Honor streaming events annually, that puts AEW doing our nine strongest events plus the ROH’s three strongest events,
