Former Women’s Tag Team Champion Isla Dawn has announced her WWE release.
The Scottish star announced on social media earlier today that she has been released from WWE. She indicated she’s subject to the standard 90-day non-compete clause for main roster talents, meaning she’ll be a free agent in early May.
Dawn signed with the company in 2018, competing in that year’s Mae Young Classic before going on to join the NXT UK roster. In late 2022, she debuted in NXT and was called up to the main roster a few months later alongside Alba Fyre as The Unholy Union while both were still NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions.
In undoubtedly the biggest moment of her WWE career, Dawn captured the Women’s Tag Team Championship alongside Fyre at Clash At The Castle: Scotland in her hometown of Glasgow last June. The two held the gold for just over two months before losing it to Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill at Bash In Berlin.

Isla Dawn Is The Seventh WWE Star Affected By The Latest Talent Cuts
Isla Dawn is one of several stars affected by the most recent batch of talent cuts. Ahead of last night’s SmackDown, former Cruiserweight Champion Cedric Alexander announced he’d been released just over a week on from his last televised appearance.
A few hours later, reports emerged that Akam & Rezar of AOP, their manager Paul Ellering and Blair Davenport had also been released. It was also reported that Sonya Deville was informed her contract, which is expiring imminently, would not be renewed.
Since news of the releases broke, Paul Ellering has issued a cryptic post on he and the Authors of Pain’s next move.
Inside The Ropes will continue to update this story as it develops.
