YouTube star IShowSpeed has not been deterred by his WWE in-ring debut and is already preparing for a comeback at a future event.
When it was announced ahead of time that the streamer and YouTuber was invited to the event by Triple H, fans suspected that he would somehow factor into the match itself.
As Akira Tozawa made his entrance in the Men’s match at number 8, the former Cruiserweight Champion was attacked by a frustrated Carmelo Hayes. With Tozawa not cleared to compete and with Triple H in need of a replacement, IShowSpeed was inserted into the match on short notice.
Although Speed first helped Bron Breakker eliminate Otis, the YouTube star was then destroyed by a Breakker spear and thrown over the top rope. Caught by Otis, Speed was the thrown over the announce table and eliminated.
Speaking about his performance backstage after the match, Speed stated that he would be coming back at next year’s event and called out Roman Reigns and a number of stars in the process, adding that if he had more time to prepare then he would have put in a better showing:
“Next Royal Rumble, I’m calling out everybody. Roman Reigns, Mark Henry, Rey Mysterio, Dom. It don’t matter, I’m getting all of y’all. Just wait until I start training out there.”
The 2026 WWE Royal Rumble has already been confirmed to take place in Saudi Arabia in what will be a first for the long-running event.
IShowSpeed Did Not Escape Royal Rumble Unscathed
No stranger to being on the receiving end of big moves, Speed was hit with an RKO by Randy Orton at WrestleMania 40 after he interfered in Logan Paul’s US title match while dressed as a giant Prime bottle.
