Isaiah Scott reportedly finds himself a man in high demand following his release by WWE in November 2021.
When Isaiah “Swerve” Scott, Ashante “Thee” Adonis and Top Dolla were released by WWE on November 18th it caught the wrestling world by surprise. Alongside B-Fab who was let go earlier that month, the group known as Hit Row had made a huge impact in NXT and had only recently been called up to Friday Night SmackDown.
In particular, Scott was seen as having a bright future following his reign as North American Champion in NXT. However, while the star might not be rising to the top of WWE anytime soon, that doesn’t mean that he isn’t very much in demand.
According to a new report from Fightful Select a number of promotions have already enquired about securing the former NXT Superstar’s services.
The report states that “multiple” companies are interested in signing Scott, while plans are in order with one “major” promotion to work with him in some capacity. It is also noted that AEW enquired about the star very early into his free agency, with NJPW USA making what was described as a “very firm overture” with regard to using him. It is also expected that MLW will reach out to the star, if they haven’t already.
Isaiah Scott, also known as Shane Strickland, signed with WWE in 2019 after successful stints with MLW and Lucha Underground among others. He initially appeared in the NXT Breakout Tournament before transitioning into the Cruiserweight division. In early 2021, Scott turned heel and formed the Hit Row stable.
The group were drafted to SmackDown in October 2021, but despite much fanfare were released by the company just a few weeks later.
