While tributes are pouring in for the late icon Hulk Hogan, a current WWE talent apparently is not a fan.
While The Hulkster is a celebrated name in sports entertainment and pop culture, he had his share of controversies, one being the racist remarks he made towards Brooke Hogan’s then-boyfriend. The remark got him banned from WWE on July 24, 2015 when the company terminated his contract but eventualy got reinstated in the company’s Hall of Fame on July 15, 2018.
Few years later, Hogan passed away on July 24, 2025 at the age of 71 and WWE wasted no time in commemorating his legacy by giving him ten-bell salutes starting on SmackDown, RAW and earlier on NXT.
However, WWE Performance Center talent Jamar Hampton had an interesting take on Instagram. In a now-deleted post, he questioned the tributes for The Hulkster and called out the hypocrisy of the recent gestures towards the late icon.

Hampton, who also went by the name Troy Yearwood from 2024, appeared on Season 1 of WWE LFG (Legends & Future Greats). He also appeared in a WWE EVOLVE episode on June 11, 2025.
Kevin Nash sends a message to the critics of WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan
During his Kliq THIS podcast, Kevin Nash called out people who brought up Hulk Hogan’s past controversies after the WWE Hall of Famer passed away.
Big Sexy defended his former New World Order (nWo) stablemate and declared that people should leave The Hulkster alone now that he’s gone and that his past mistakes won’t change anything today.
“For the people who want to go after Hogan for doing this or that—You know what? How about f*** you, man. He’s dead. How about his kids, man? Can you just lay off the man? Ain’t nothing going to change now. Think about his kids. Think about his friends and his family and if you don’t have anything good to say—Shut the f*** up,” [H/T PWMania]

Kevin Nash and Hulk Hogan, along with Scott Hall, formed the nWo in World Championship Wrestling’s Bash at the Beach in 1996, turning the wrestling business upside down. This resulted in the creation of “Monday Night Wars” against WWE’s RAW, with WCW (through the nWo storyline) beating WWE in the ratings game for 83 consecutive weeks.
