AEW star Ricochet stands alongside former WWE announcer Samantha Irvin

Did Samantha Irvin leave WWE for All Elite Wrestling? Ricochet has the answer.

Just hours before Raw 10/21, ring announcer Samantha Irvin announced her shocking exit from the Stamford-based promotion. On 21st October, Irvin shared the news on her social media and expressed her gratitude toward Paul Heyman, Michael Cole, Triple H, Mark Henry, and the fans.

Despite a successful run in the promotion, Irvin decided to call it over with the promotion. According to a report from Fightful Select, the news left WWE staff backstage surprised. It is still unsure what her motives were during the move.

Soon after fans started expecting a jump to Tony Khan’s promotion based on her partner Ricochet’s run there. However, the former Intercontinental Champion dismissed all such rumors as he shared on X (Twitter):

Haha, she’s not coming to AEW. You can all rest easy.”

Her exit has left behind a huge gap in the ring announcer’s role. However, a veteran will fill up her position tonight on Raw.

Veteran Returns On Raw 10/21 To Cover Up For Samantha Irvin

The announcement shocked everyone across the industry, as fans started guessing her replacement. However, soon reports from PWInsider and Fightful Select noted that veteran Lillian Garcia is backstage tonight at the Wells Fargo Center, and will likely serve as the ring announcer tonight.

Garcia had a long tenure at the Stamford-based promotion before her exit in 2016. She has since returned for several brief stints at the promotion.

Adding to this, an AEW announcer also dismissed the Samantha Irvin rumours.
