Ricky Starks has addressed his current AEW status.
Absent from Tony Khan’s promotion for almost eight months now, fans have been heavily worried about Starks’ status in the promotion. Although Tony Khan commented on his future in the promotion, his absence has kept fans tensed.
Ricky Starks was recently present at the Glory Pro Wrestling on October 27th, where he took Sean Login with a spear. He is now scheduled to face Kody Lane on November 24th. This will mark his first match since his bout against QT Marshall at BTW Welcome To Paradise on 31st May 2024.
During an interview with Joe Roderick of Claibs Online, Starks shared a major update on his AEW employment status. Still a part of Tony Khan’s roster, he shared:
Correct, yes. Yes, I am.”
As rumors developed about his ongoing creative differences with the Jacksonville-based promotion, Ricky Starks recently addressed them online and shared his opinion on it.
Enough is enough. Usually I don’t even speak on this but it’s tired. I never turned down anything, EVER. Just Stop.”
Ricky Starks Discusses His Upcoming Match Against Kody Lane At Glory Pro WrestlePocalypse
Scheduled to face Kody Lane on November 24th at the Glory Pro WrestlePocalypse event, he addressed his upcoming match in the same interview with Joe Roderick of Claibs Online. Starks shared:
Well, you know, I can’t be stuck at home for too much longer, I go stir crazy. I saw an opportunity with Kody Lane to come out and challenge for the title of course. I thought it was even a better idea because I used to actually live in St. Louis, I used to live in Melville of all places. So I thought it was a good way to make a return and also too, I’ve known Cody for quite a bit, he used to train here in Texas. I said, ‘Well, why not, why not just come back and test the grit against somebody that I’m very much familiar with.”
