In an interview with Sports Illustrated, both Bianca Belair and Stephanie Vaquer were asked for their take on Lynch’s bold claim.
The EST, who has faced The Man multiple times in the ring, acknowledged that Becky Lynch usually backed up her statements with results and achievements. However, she emphasized that the current roster was stacked with talents capable of matching Lynch’s greatness:
If she [Becky Lynch] says it, she can back it up, and she has the accolades to back it up.
But that being said, I will say that we have so much talent on our roster, and we just had Evolution, an all-women’s pay-per-view. There are so many amazing female wrestlers, but Becky has a lot of accolades to back that up.
I feel like there are other women on the roster as well who have accolades and can go toe-to-toe with her, and that’s what’s amazing about our roster.”
La Primera added her thoughts, stating that while the Women’s Intercontinental Champion was definitely one of the best. However, many in the WWE women’s roster could claim to be the same, so it really depended on the situation:
Yeah, I think this, it’s difficult because everyone thinks differently, and we have an amazing, amazing division. But yeah, that depends a lot. It’s like, yeah, she’s really, really good. It’s just amazing. But yeah, depends.”
