Intended Target For AJ Styles’ Outburst on WWE RAW Revealed

WWE Star AJ Styles

AJ Styles cut an emotional promo on RAW this week, revealing a secret about his run in WWE.

The Phenomenal One lost two title shots at the Intercontinental Championship in the last month. He first lost the SummerSlam match against Dominik Mysterio, and then lost again on Monday Night RAW in Paris, due to the cameo from El Grande Americano, headbutting him in the midsection with a steel plate inside his mask.

Following this interference, Styles was set to take on Americano on the September 8 episode of Monday Night RAW. But during the commercial break before the match, he took on the mic and shocked the entire world with what he had to say.

AJ Styles’ Emotional Outburst on WWE RAW

Styles expressed his violent desires to the Milwaukee crowd, expressing frustration over the ‘coffee bean’ Americano’s interruption during his title match in Paris. He talked about how the OCs, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson, are not in WWE anymore, and Michin is on SmackDown, leaving him alone on RAW. He claimed that someone orchestrated things so that Styles would not win anymore on WWE, leaving him alone.

He even mentioned that the entire world can’t see this segment, as they are in a commercial break. This made it feel like actual frustration from Styles, venting out in front of the fans. Styles then told the crowd something that they were not supposed to know, claiming that somebody didn’t want him on WWE, though he didn’t clarify whether it was an official or another wrestler.

However, WWE later posted this segment on their official website and titled the video,

AJ Styles GOES OFF on Monday Night Raw officials: Raw highlights, Sept. 8, 2025.”

Even the description of that video reads

“The Phenomenal” AJ Styles doesn’t hold back in his criticism towards unnamed Monday Night Raw officials. Catch WWE action on ESPN, Netflix, Peacock, USA Network, CW Network and more.”

Styles didn’t himself point towards an official, nor did he mention that it was an official, but this post on WWE.com did. This raises questions as to who Styles was actually referring to. It would be interesting to see whether the release of OCs and all the circumstances were just a coincidence, or a WWE official deliberately did that to not let Styles win.
