Darby Allin’s list of insane stunts just keeps growing.
Earlier this year, Allin took a hiatus from AEW and went ahead to fulfill his goal of conquering Mount Everest in Nepal.
Following days of expedition, Allin was finally atop the highest peak in the world. However, during his journey, Allin also shared a clip of him doing backflips with his skateboard, but that wasn’t the only unexpected thing he did there.
Earlier today, while speaking to Steve-O, Darby Allin revealed that he proposed to his girlfriend while at the summit of Mount Everest.
Yeah, proposed to my girlfriend on top of the summit, too. And that was… that was fun.”
He further opened up about their relationship story and how the proposal finally happened at Mt Everest’s summit.
“My, uh… fiancée—we met on the school bus in high school. And then I was like, ‘Oh yeah, I had a big crush on her. Didn’t have the courage to ask her out.’ Um… and then she, you know, goes off, and we reconnect like 14 years later. And, uh… she saw this video of me jumping off a waterfall in Tennessee, and she’s like, ‘Oh, it’s so cool, you’re still doing all the crazy stuff from high school.’
So we start, uh, reading this, like, relationship book, and her words of affir—like, hers is words of affirmation. Her love language is words of affirmation. But I’m horrible at words of affirmation. To me, to just go, ‘You’re so beautiful,’ it’s like… it’s so hard for me to do.
So I literally was like… on top of Mount Everest, and I said, ‘Oh, the top of the world is so beautiful, but not as beautiful as you.’ And then I said, ‘Will you marry me?’ in the video.”

AEW President Tony Khan Compared Darby Allin’s Tag-Team Partner, Sting To Tom Cruise
Sting and Darby Allin vs the Young Bucks at AEW Revolution, I think, is the greatest retirement match ever and I think Sting really did the work on the retirement run.
Sting, to me, is like the Tom Cruise of pro wrestling. You know how Tom Cruise in recent years has become this insane stunt man, the greatest stunt actor of all time. That was Sting in his final years. Everybody who has ever watched a movie knows Tom Cruise. Everybody who has ever watched a wrestling match knows Sting.
They both, into their 60s, they kind of still look the same. They both went really hard and became crazy stunt men and did, I think, the best work of their career into their 60s.”
