Inner Circle

Sammy Guevara sensationally walked out on his Inner Circle teammates on AEW Dynamite, saying that he is quitting the group.

Tensions have run high in the Inner Circle ever since MJF and Wardlow joined the group.Guevara has been the most resistant to MJF’s presence and things came to a head on Wednesday’s Dynamite.

In a backstage segment, Guevara confronted MJF, telling him he thought MJF was trying to take over the Inner Circle.MJF had been recording the conversation on his phone and when the ‘Spanish God’ realised, he threw MJF’s phone into the wall and punched him in the ribs.

MJF would team Chris Jericho in a victory over The Acclaimed later in the evening.Following that match, Sammy Guevara made his way to the ring and shocked the team when he announced his decision to quit.

In an interview with Alex Marvel outside Daily’s Place, Sammy said he needed to refocus and needed some time away.

Chris Jericho and MJF are the number one contenders for the AEW Tag Team Championships after winning a battle royal. Jericho last eliminated Darius Martin of Top Flight to claim the victory at AEW Beach Break.

The Inner Circle formed on the very first AEW Dynamite show in October 2019.Jericho, Guevara, Santana, and Ortiz were joined by a debuting Jake Hager to beat down The Elite to end the first episode.

It was a big night for AEW Dynamite with a TNT Title match on the card. Then there was a cross-promotional main event as KENTA made his in-ring AEW debut. He would team with Kenny Omega to take on Jon Moxley and Lance Archer. Full results for the show can be found here.
