Roman Reigns‘ WWE future is now questionable.

Entering the Royal Rumble match as the number 16th, Roman Reigns lasted around 37 minutes and scored four eliminations. Toward the closing stages of the match, fans saw CM Punk collectively eliminate both Reigns and Seth Rollins.

This soon sparked a heated brawl between the three. Dropping Reigns with a ‘Stomp’ on the floor, Rollins continued his fight with CM Punk. However, after a heated argument with Paul Heyman, fans again saw Seth Rollins hit a ‘Stomp’ on Roman Reigns on the steel steps.

Knocked out at the ringside, Reigns was later helped out of the arena. On the 3rd February episode of Raw, announcer Michael Cole shared a concerning update on The Tribal Chief. While no injury status or any physical harm indication was provided, Roman Reigns was announced as ‘out for the foreseeable future’.

With the Road to WrestleMania having commenced, Reigns has been written off television. No other details on this has been provided yet.

Roman Reigns Has Commented On The End Of The Bloodline Story

Recently, during an interview on the Busted Open Radio at the 2025 Royal Rumble media day, Roman Reigns commented on the end of the Bloodline story. Teasing more planned upcoming stories, Reigns commented:

“I think there is so much meat left on the bone and so many different ways to go. I’ve only given X amount. There are so many more layers for me to showcase. There are so many more layers for Jey, Jimmy [Uso], Solo [Sikoa], Jacob, or Tama [Tonga]. We have so many great characters. For the Wiseman. There are so many more layers to showcase. We’re all in our prime. I’m in the best shape of my life. Wiseman is getting into the best shape.

“It’s one of those things where, I think we can do this forever. I really do. A lot of people were like, ‘3rd inning.’ That was game one. It’s a seven game series. I’m not trying to bring up these analogies to pinpoint timelines. That’s me saying confidently I can run this thing for two more years, no problem.”

In other news: A former WWE NXT Champion has been released by the promotion.

Following the attack, the real reason for Roman Reigns’ absence has been revealed.
