Injury Update On Charlotte Flair Following WWE WrestleMania Backlash

Charlotte Flair clutching her arm

Charlotte Flair fell to defeat to Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania Backlash but the supposed injury suffered by Flair may not be what it seems.

Flair and Rousey resumed hostilities that stretch all the way back to Survivor Series in 2018 when Rousey returned to WWE at the 2022 Royal Rumble. Winning the thirty-woman match, the former UFC Bantamweight Champion booked her place in the main event of WrestleMania 38 to challenge Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women’s Championship.

To the surprise of many Flair managed to pick up the victory over Rousey on The Grandest Stage Of Them All but the feud was not done there. At WrestleMania Backlash Ronda Rousey made Flair say “I Quit” to become SmackDown Women’s Champion after locking The Queen in an armbar with the help of a steel chair.

During the show, it was mentioned that Flair had suffered a fracture of the radius but reports now appear to suggest that the injury is simply part of a storyline to write Flair off television.

According to Fightful Select, the WWE creative team had been warned that Charlotte Flair was taking some time off and this was a way to get her off television as she supposedly recuperates.

Dave Meltzer speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio confirmed that Flair is taking time off as she is due to marry AEW star Andrade El Idolo sometime this summer. But there is no word yet on how long Flair will miss off WWE TV.
