Injury To Dax Harwood Reportedly Caused Changes To Full Gear Match

FTR - Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler

According to a new report the finish of the AEW Tag Team Title match between FTR and The Lucha Bros at Full Gear was changed due to an injury suffered Dax Harwood.

AEW Full Gear is a show that will be remembered for years to come as the crowing moment of “Hangman” Adam Page’s career as he finally vanquished AEW World Champion Kenny Omega. It has since been reported that Omega was dealing with a shoulder injury during the bout, and he wasn’t the only one.

It was later reported that Eddie Kingston and Malakai Black also sustained injuries at the event. Kingston has since confirmed that he “won’t miss any time” due to the reported shoulder issue.

In addition, a new report has now claimed that the finish of one of the event’s title matches had to be altered due to one of the performers getting injured. According to Fightful Select, the finish of the AEW Tag Team Title Match between FTR and The Lucha Bros was changed on the fly after Dax Harwood sustained a blow to the head.

The report notes that Dax Harwood was knocked out or “nearly knocked out” by Rey Fenix (Who is known to work stiff), around ten minutes into the match. Originally he was supposed to factor in the finish of the match, playing up the angle that Lucha Bros pinned the illegal man.

It was also suggested that some members of the roster took issue with Fenix not checking on Harwood after the match. While there was said to be no “major heat,” it is considered common courtesy to check in.

There is currently no update on Dax Harwood’s condition.
