Injured WWE NXT Superstar Returns At Great American Bash, New Champions Crowned

WWE NXT The Great American Bash

Tegan Nox is back in NXT!

For several weeks, fans of the black and gold brand in WWE have seen vignettes featuring a battery charging. On the most recent edition of NXT on USA, the battery was up to 81% charged.

It was later reported that the Superstar behind the charging battery was Tegan Nox with Mike Johnson of PWInsider noting that Nox appeared in a dark match prior to the most recent episode of RAW.

The report proved to be true as Nox arrived back in NXT in stunning style at the Great American Bash. During the NXT Women’s Tag Team Title Match between The Way and Io Shirai and Zoey Stark, Nox shocked fans around the world appearing at the top of the ramp.

With Candice LeRae looking as though she had saw a ghost, Shirai and Stark quickly grasped the momentum with Stark pinning Indi Hartwell to capture the gold.

The appearance marked Nox’s first showing on WWE television since picking up a third serious knee injury during an episode of SmackDown in August 2020.

Knox had already battled back from a similar injury in 2017, before suffering a torn ACL, MCL, meniscus, lateral collateral ligament, and dislocated kneecap a year later.
