It has been announced that multiple injured stars will be back in action on the August 3rd edition of AEW Dynamite.
Adam Cole has been out of action since AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door on June 26th. The former NXT Champion had been struggling with a shoulder injury for a lengthy period, while he suffered a concussion at the super-show.
Cole had been attempting to win the IWGP Heavyweight Championship in a Four-Way match against champion Jay White, Hangman Adam Page and Kazuchika Okada.
However, it has now been confirmed that Cole will be back on AEW television on the upcoming August 3rd edition of Dynamite. Cole will be joined by the rest of The Undisputed Elite, including Kyle O’Reilly who has been absent since losing to Jon Moxley on June 8th.
While no specific reason for O’Reilly’s lack of appearances had been given, he noted in an interview that he was “banged up.”
At time of writing it is unclear what the group will be doing, although no match featuring them has been listed.
So far two matches have been announced for the show. The first will see Thunder Storm (Thunder Rosa & Toni Storm) take on Britt Baker and Jamie Hayter, while Christian Cage will be facing Matt Hardy.
On the July 27th edition of the show the rivalry between Christian Cage and Jungle Boy reached new heights. Appearing in an interview with Luchasaurus by his side, Jungle Boy verbally attacked Cage, calling him a “pussy” before referencing his recent divorce.
