One star who was out with an injury is back in action as of the latest AEW Dark Elevation taping!
Anthony Bowens last wrestled on the 9 March post-Revolution episode of Dynamite, as he and Acclaimed teammate Max Caster failed to lift the AEW World Tag Team Championships from The Jurassic Express. This marked the third title quest for Bowens and Caster, having previously come up short against The Young Bucks and The Lucha Bros in previous title quests.
AEW President Tony Khan confirmed in late March that Bowens had suffered an injury, but said that it was not expected to be a long term issue. The exact nature of the injury wasn’t known, and Bowens’ Acclaimed tag team partner Max Caster has continued to compete in singles action on AEW programming and Bowens has been accompanying him while he healed up.
Anthony Bowens returned to action for the first time since being injured on the May 11th taping of AEW Dark Elevation at the UBS Arena on Long Island. He and Max Caster teamed with the Gunn Club to face Zack Clayon, Bryce Donovan, GKM & Lucas Chase. The Acclaimed and the Gunn Club were victorious in the bout.
