Recovered after a successful surgery, a legendary AEW name is back on the show.
On the 25th December Christmas episode of Dynamite, an absent star returned to the promotion. On the 2nd October episode of Dynamite, fans witnessed announcer, Taz, get attacked and sidelined by Christian Cage’s The Patriarchy.
A kayfabe injury removed the ECW legend from television because of upcoming knee replacement surgery. Taz soon underwent surgery and shared a positive update with his fans on social media. After almost two months of absence and recovery, Taz finally returned to the Dynamite on 34th Street episode.
Entering through an erupting crowd, fans went livid as Taz joined the announcer’s table and graced the fans with his iconic voice. The night began with Will Ospreay defeating Brody King to solidify his chances in the Continental Classic. However, despite Ospreay’s high-voltage action, it was the return that stole the night.
Vouching revenge on his father’s attackers, Hook is scheduled next to face Nick Wayne on the December 27th episode of Rampage.
Recently the reason behind AEW renewing its UK TV rights deal with ITV has been revealed.
Nic Nemeth Discusses The Alternatives To WWE And AEW
Challenges? Uh, getting the word out. Every once in a while, people are like, ‘Hey, we love Impact, we love the pay-per-views, we watch what you’re doing’ and then someone will go, ‘I follow you on social media, I’ve watched everything you’ve ever done, do you still wrestle?’ I go, ‘Ugh, come on man.’ I go, ‘Bro, AXS TV, YouTube, TNA plus app, check out the show.’ I’m telling you, if you like wrestling and you watch the show, you’re going to be instantly engulfed in it because the infrastructure is there, the story lines are there, the talent is through the roof.
Sometimes people say AEW is a little fast with stuff, sometimes WWE goes way too slow in molasses with the same predictable stuff, we are someone that I feel like we’re this happy medium of, you check out, you don’t know what’s going to happen one day, then you see the slow progression of a story and you know where they’re going and then the other half, you don’t know who’s gonna show up, you don’t know who’s gonna be fighting for the title, you don’t know who’s going to show up in my match against Joe Hendry at Genesis in the main event.”
