We could be seeing Julia Hart again “very soon”, according to Brody King.
The House of Black’s Julia Hart has been out of action since April after suffering a shoulder injury in a match against Leyla Hirsch on Rampage. Despite wrestling at AEW Dynasty on April 21 – where she dropped her TBS Championship to Willow Nightingale – Hart was forced to be sidelined. Fortunately, it looks like her return isn’t too far off now.
In an interview with Stephanie Chase, Brody King was asked about the possibility of Hart returning to the ring any time soon:
“Yeah, I think we should be seeing her very soon. I mean, she’s been dropping hints here and there, but I think she’s ready to come back for her title.”
The TBS Championship is currently held by Mercedes Moné, suggesting a match between Julia Hart and Moné could occur in the future. Hart first joined the House of Black – consisting of Brody King, Buddy Matthews and leader Malakai Black – back in 2022 at Double or Nothing, where she helped the stable defeat Death Triangle. Later on in the interview, King went on to heap praise on Hart for how quickly she has developed since joining the stable, especially at such a young age:
“She took to everything like a sponge… I feel like — character-wise and personality-wise — she is so far advanced from her years in wrestling and her age. I mean, she’s only 22 years old. She’s got the whole world ahead of her, and she’s already got a big step up on it.”
King also touched on their bond as part of the same stable, and how Hart has become like a “wrestling daughter” to him, who can always come to him if she “has questions about wrestling or needs advice”. Hart was the youngest champion ever in AEW history during her reign, aged just 22 years old.
