Infamous Match Returning At IMPACT Slammiversary
Wrestling purists look away now, one of IMPACT Wrestling’s most controversial match types is set for a return as the company celebrates another Slammiversary!
June 19th will mark a very special edition of Slammiversary for IMPACT Wrestling as the company formerly known as TNA marks its 20th anniversary.
In those twenty years IMPACT has made its own mark on the wrestling world as the home to future superstars such as Samoa Joe and AJ Styles as well as housing, at one time or another, legends such as DDP, Sting, Kurt Angle, and Kevin Nash.
The company’s X Division proved to be a highlight of shows and IMPACT was the company that first introduced the world to Matt Hardy’s ‘Broken Universe’ as cinematic matches entered the wrestling world.
IMPACT Wrestling can also boast popularising some rather unique match types such as Ultimate X, the King of the Mountain match, and the reverse battle royal.
Now, the company has announced on social media that the reverse battle royal – where the participants fight to get into the ring – will return as part of the Countdown to Slammiversary.
BREAKING: The Reverse Battle Royal returns and Rich Swann takes on @Myers_Wrestling for the Digital Media Championship on #CountdownToSlammiversary streaming LIVE & FREE this Sunday at 7:30pm ET on IMPACT Plus and YouTube!
