Independent Wrestling Promotion Wanted To Sign Bray Wyatt

By Lyle Kilbane. Published 12th September 2022.
Bray Wyatt

An independent wrestling promotion run by a former WWE Superstar has detailed how serious they were in their pursuit of Bray Wyatt.

Bray Wyatt has been a free agent since being released by WWE on July 31st, 2021. While the star hasn’t actually wrestled since squaring off against Randy Orton at WrestleMania 37 three months earlier.

A return to WWE, while Vince McMahon was still at the helm, appeared unlikely after the two men butted heads behind the scenes, but with Triple H now in charge of creative, the company is now a very different proposition.

Bray Wyatt however will have surely had no shortage of offers in regards to his future and one of them may well have come from former WWE star EC3 and his Control Your Narrative promotion.

Speaking to Sportskeeda, EC3 explained how he and Braun Strowman [Adam Scherr] had some talk about bringing Wyatt in but admits things never really got serious:

“So as far as Control Your Narrative, yeah, I think Adam and I definitely laid some teasers for him, and there was some talk. There was nothing ever seriously on the table or anything. But he’s awesome, so hope he gets back too.”

A recent report suggests that Bray Wyatt still has a “standing offer” to get back in the ring from a company other than Control Your Narrative and WWE.
