AXS TV’s partnership with IMPACT Wrestling has been fairly cohesive since the Anthem-owned promotion moved to the network in October last year. The two companies now look to strengthen their relationship further, through collaborating in a week of special programming to promote IMPACT’s Bound For Glory pay-per-view.
In a joint press release issued on impactwrestling.com, Impact and AXS said they would “break new ground” with this series of week-long specials, which are set to premiere exclusively on the channel the week leading to Bound For Glory.
IMPACT Week will kick-off on Tuesday, October 20th at 8 pm ET with ‘IMPACT! on AXS TV’, the go-home episode to Bound For Glory immediately followed at 10 pm by ‘Talk ‘n Shop: Full Keg’ where the Good Brothers, Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows, will present a broadcast edition of their podcast of the same name – featuring a few special guests still to be announced.
The special programming resumes Thursday, October 22nd at 8 pm with ‘This is Bound For Glory’, an original documentary taking a behind-the-scenes look at Impact World Champion Eric Young and Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo as well as their respective challengers at Bound For Glory, Rich Swann and Kylie Rae. This will then be shown as a encore airing on Saturday, October 24th at 6 pm.
The week will finally conclude with ‘Live Countdown To Glory’, an hour long pre-show leading directly into Bound For Glory’s pay-per-view broadcast. A team of expert panelists will cover the show’s championship matches, IMPACT stars will walk the red carpet and an exclusive pre-show match will be aired.
Scott D’Amore, IMPACT Wrestling’s Executive Vice President, expressed excitement at the collaboration in a statement provided within the press release:
“Thanks to AXS TV’s powerful broadcast platform, IMPACT Wrestling will deliver an unprecedented level of content heading into Bound For Glory. IMPACT Week on AXS TV offers an incredible slate of action and entertainment, showcasing the best IMPACT has to offer. From the unpredictable and always hilarious Good Brothers, to inspiring championship profile features, there’s something for every wrestling fan to get ready for Saturday night.”
UK viewers can watch Bound For Glory via Fite TV on Saturday, October 24th.
