Former IMPACT Wrestling Star Appears During AEW Dynamite

W. Morrissey AEW Dynamite entrance

W. Morrissey is back in AEW.

Former IMPACT Wrestling star, W. Morrissey made his presence known once again on AEW programming as the behemoth interrupted a promo from Peter Avalon, Cezar Bononi, Ryan Nemeth, and JD Drake of The Wingmen during the 8/31 episode of AEW Dynamite.

Following Morrissey’s appearance, Stokely Hathaway made his way down to the ring and handed his business card to the former IMPACT star. Tony Schiavone confronted the pair as they made their to the backstage area and Hathaway shoved the voice of AEW before Morrissey seemingly threatened Schiavone to stop talking before the pair made their exit.

Morrissey signed with WWE in 2009 under the Big Cass moniker and would be a staple of the company’s NXT brand alongside the former EnZo Amore before the pair made their respective main roster debut in 2016. Morrissey turned on Amore in 2017 and feuded with Amore before engaging in a feud with Daniel Bryan before being released from the company in June 2018 due to issues that Morrissey says stemmed from depression, anxiety, and alcohol addiction.

The 7-foot athlete reportedly got his life back in order and would return to the independent circuit until he signed with IMPACT Wrestling in April 2021. Morrissey would be a staple of IMPACT programming until his ultimate departure, this past June.

Morrissey made a lone appearance on All Elite Wrestling programming when he was revealed as MJF-selected mystery opponent for Wardlow on the May 4 episode of AEW Dynamite.
