One of the top stars of IMPACT Wrestling wants former WWE Superstar Dakota Kai to join the company, saying she “personifies” the Knockouts Division.
Dakota Kai joined WWE after competing in the Mae Young Classic tournament in 2016. The New Zealander grew to be a key part of the black and gold brand’s women’s division, winning the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic and holding the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship twice with Raquel Gonzalez.
To the surprise of many, Dakota Kai was released from her WWE contract towards the end of April 2022 along with several other stars on the developmental brand, including Stokely Hathaway who recently debuted for AEW at their Double Or Nothing show.
While the star hasn’t wrestled since her release, she recently revealed that she would be known as ‘King Kota’ going forward. One person who wants to see her join IMPACT Wrestling is Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace.
During an appearance on The Angle Podcast, Grace explained that she thinks Dakota Kai has unique look and style that would fit right in with the Knockouts Division.
“So this is such a hard question because I feel like AEW has signed a lot of people. But someone that would be awesome to wrestle is Dakota Kai.
“I don’t think [Dakota] got her full due at WWE and I think that IMPACT would really be a great place for her to go. She has a very unique look, a unique wrestling style, and I feel like the Knockouts division, she kind of personifies that.”
