“I’m The Greatest Of All Time”: Mercedes Mone Hypes Comeback At AEW Double Or Nothing

Mercedes Mone has no doubts about her in-ring abilities heading into AEW Double or Nothing.

Making her in-ring debut at the pay-per-view, Mone will challenge Willow Nightingale for the TBS Championship. This will also be Mone’s first match in over a year as she suffered an ankle injury in her last match at NJPW Strong Resurgence, which was also against Nightingale.

For fans who have not watched New Japan, this will be the first time that they will get to see the former Sasha Banks compete since her WWE exit back in 2022. With The Boss now The CEO, Mone is out to prove to the world what she already believes to be true.

Speaking with The Ringer, Mone stated that she is ready to introduce The CEO to the world and is not short on confidence:

“They haven’t really got to see the CEO. They know who Sasha Banks is, but the CEO, Mercedes Moné, [is] something they’ve never seen before, and I’m ready to show them. I’m the greatest women’s wrestler of all time, 100 percent.”

Discussing the match, Mone admitted that there are nerves heading into the match but knows that the debut will be something special in Las Vegas:

“I don’t want to put pressure on myself, because I’ve been doing this for 14 years. I have more excitement than pressure, but I am really nervous as well, just because it’s been a year since I performed, but being in the ring with someone like Willow Nightingale, I know it’s going to be absolutely everything I’ve ever dreamed of. We’re going to go out there and steal the show.”
