Vince McMahon is said to be “unfazed” despite being the subject of a federal investigation.
On January 25th, former WWE employee Janel Grant filed a lawsuit that accused Vince McMahon of sex trafficking and multiple counts of sexual misconduct. Following pressure from sponsors who paused their partnerships with WWE, Vince McMahon resigned from his executive position at TKO Holdings while still denying all allegations. Following his resignation, McMahon has remained silent and has only issued public statements via his attorney. According to a new report, additional insight into McMahon’s mindset has been provided.
NBC has spoken with 11 individuals who are familiar with McMahon and the company he used to be in charge of. Multiple sources state that McMahon has not made contact with top names in the company since he resigned and has “moved on.” McMahon also seems unconcerned about the lawsuit and has been on a trip to Italy and had recently returned from a trip to the Turks and Caicos Islands with 6 kittens and a puppy, which would be adopted by his friends. Another source backed up claims that McMahon is unphased by the situation by adding “If anything, he’s enjoying life.”
McMahon is also regularly chauffeured from his home in Connecticut to Manhattan and regularly meets with friends and his personal trainer. Two sources did note that McMahon has been at times “quite guarded” at times and has been in contact with his legal team to map out plans.
A new quote from McMahon’s attorney Jessica Rosenberg is included in the article but focuses on the lawsuit and not the aforementioned details regarding McMahon’s private life following the resignation:
“The lawsuit’s claims are false, defamatory and entirely without merit. We intend to vigorously defend Mr. McMahon and are confident that he will be vindicated.”
It is also stated that McMahon has been in contact with The Rock and John Cena since the resignation. John Cena came under fire after providing controversial comments about the events surrounding Vince McMahon.
