The masked wrestler that has featured in a promotional vignette on AEW Collision has been revealed.
As seen on the July 6th episode of Collision, a masked wrestler briefly flashed up onscreen and was referred to as “Holo.grm.” While some had speculated that this could signal the much-expected arrival of former WWE star Ricochet, a new report has confirmed the identity of the wrestler set to debut is not the former United States Champion.

As reported by Cassidy Haynes of Bodyslam.net, the “Holo.grm” vignette is to promote the arrival of Aramis, who previously wrestled in AAA. Haynes added that Aramis would be debuting under a different name and that the deal was made possible when AAA failed to re-sign the masked wrestler. In terms of plans for the former AAA star, Haynes also stated that there is a possibility that Aramis could “possibly be a “hacker” type gimmick.”
Speaking about the upcoming debut on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that the former AAA wrestler was previously in mind for a role within the company and it has come full circle:
“I’m gonna say four to five years ago, Tony Khan was talking with people and he had an idea for a character, which essentially would be a superhero flyer for Mexico. He wanted a young guy that had never been in the United States and he had signed Aramis at the time for the role. And then things happened, I don’t even remember what happened. It might have been the pandemic. It probably was the pandemic, actually.
But he couldn’t get him in the country, the contract ran out and Aramis, I think ended up with MLW, and it was all forgotten. And I think Aramis was going to college at the time, the most sure. But anyway, it’s come full circle. And he is coming in is doing the role that Tony Khan had envisioned him doing in 2019-2020 when he first started the company, so five years later, that’s the deal.”
