Tegan Nox was expecting to receive the phone call that no WWE Superstar wants to get.
As was seen on September 21st, WWE released multiple stars from their contracts. While names such as Mustafa Ali and Dolph Ziggler did come as a surprise to some, Nox was more surprised that she wasn’t a part of the cuts.
Speaking with Wilde On, Nox admitted that although she did not want to be informed that her services were no longer required, it wouldn’t have been a shock if the call came through:
Oh, I was expecting a call 100% percent… like, I was like ‘Oh, I don’t want to get fired.’ But [if it happens], then that’s just life, you know? Maybe this place wasn’t meant for me. But I still got a job as of now.”
Nox continued, stating that following the merger and changes at the top, there is a lot of uncertainty but there is no point in worrying over things that can’t be controlled:
“Just a weird time with everything happening. That’s why now, instead of worrying about everything, I’m just enjoying things as they happen, because you never know what could happen. So what’s the point in worrying when I could just have fun?”
When Did Tegan Nox Last Wrestle In WWE?
Nox’s most recent match took place on the October 17th episode of NXT, where Nox lost to Lyra Valkyria, who would go on to defeat Becky Lynch and become the new NXT Women’s Champion on the following episode.
Unfortunately for Nox, it appears that an injury was suffered in the NXT match. Natalya revealed on the October 23 Raw that Nox was not cleared to compete, so instead recruited Nikki Cross as a replacement partner.
In the same interview, Nox commented on the rise of Toni Storm in AEW and how she is likely to push it as far as she can.
H/t to WrestleZone.
