“I Don’t See The Hall Of Fame For Bob Holly” Says Jim Ross

Bob Holly

Bob Holly was with the WWE from 1994 to 2009, but Jim Ross believes that he won’t go into the WWE Hall Of Fame.

Speaking with co-host Conrad Thompson on their ‘Grilling JR‘ show, ‘Good Ol’ JR put a bow on the Bob Holly episode by answering the question whether or not he feels that Holly deserves to one day go into the WWE Hall of Fame? Whether he thinks Holly will get there one day.

Oh man, tough guy, reliable, skilled, but was never quite able to get over the hump as a singles star.

I don’t see the Hall of Fame for him, but again, the hell do I know. I might be wrong, I’m not casting a vote against Bob for god’s sake.

But I don’t feel, as we sit right now, that he’s on a shortlist of WWE Hall of Fame people.

He explains further what he believes the legacy that Bob leaves will be – whether that his runs in WWE or unfortunately all of the controversies that have come afterwards.

I don’t think it’ll be the spark plug stuff, I think, it’ll be on the radar, a dot.

I just think his overall demeanour, he had the ability to alienate some people and I don’t know if he did it intentionally or it was just the way that he was.

One thing about Bob is that he wasn’t phoney. He was outspoken.

So I’d say, his legacy will be that he was very outspoken, physically and mentally tough individual who left WWE still feeling unfulfilled.

And, I don’t think he’ll be in the [WWE] Hall of Fame.

Hardcore Holly enjoyed over 16 years with the WWE, from his inception as ‘Spark Plug’ to ‘The J.O.B. Squad’ then on to capturing the Hardcore Title which he first won from Al Snow (at the St. Valentine’s Day Massacre: In Your House PPV in 1999).
