“I Don’t Care If They’re Begging For My Help”: Drew McIntyre Rejects Proposed WWE Alliance

Drew McIntyre has no interest in forming a supergroup to unite against a common enemy.

McIntyre is building towards a monumental clash against Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 40 and is looking to become the new World Heavyweight Champion in the process. Although McIntyre feels confident that he has the upper hand against Rollins in a one-on-one contest, it may not be that straightforward.

In regards to the other major title at stake, Cody Rhodes hopes to finally finish the story as he challenges Roman Reigns for the Undisputed Championship. However, as McIntyre is well aware, with any Reigns match there is always backup from The Bloodline. Also sick of The Bloodline, Rollins has vowed to join Rhodes to ensure a fair fight, much to the protest of The Scottish Warrior, who is concerned that the faction will screw him out of another championship victory.

Speaking on The Bump about Rollins’ side quest, Drew McIntyre criticised Rollins for not focusing on his own championship:

“First of all, obviously Becky’s got to say that when she’s on camera. When we saw each other off-camera briefly, she was like, ‘Drew, I gotta say, I’m The Man of the house, and it’s be pretty cool for two Celtics to be successful at WrestleMania, big Celtic invasion at Mania, so do it for the lads.’ But that was off-screen.

But when it comes to Seth, I told him exactly how I felt. Stop fighting battles in other lands, battles that have nothing to do with you. Focus on your people, focus on Raw, focus on the world title. You’re lost in the background ever there, and I believe he’s doing it for selfish reasons, egotistical reasons. I made it very clear how I feel.”

McIntyre was then asked if he had any interest in joining Rhodes and Rollins in an Avengers-esque group to take down the supervillains of The Bloodline. Unsurprisingly, McIntyre remains focused on his personal goals:

“When I’m world champion, I will not give a darn. I’m trying really hard not to swear today. I don’t give a damn what’s going on at SmackDown when I’m world champion. I didn’t enunciate my words clearly [on Raw], but what I said was, if SmackDown’s on fire, I don’t care if they’re on their knees, begging for my help. I would not pee on them to put that fire out.

My responsibility is to my people on Raw. It’s that simple. His argument, he’s trying to put together some Avenger team or something. If you look up that one scene with Wolverine, when he’s asked to assist in the battle, his reaction, that’s pretty much where Drew McIntyre’s at if you’re asking for my help.”

During the same interview, Drew McIntyre explained why CM Punk should be thanking him.

Drew McIntyre Tells Fans To Take Up Demands With A Higher-Up

In recent weeks, McIntyre has undergone a character change. Sick of the injustices, The Scottish Warrior has chosen to take matters into his own hands and seize more opportunities. With this in mind, many WWE fans want to see another change to McIntyre’s presentation and have been asking for it daily. In response to this, Drew McIntyre told the fans to get in touch with Triple H.

H/t to Fightful.
