An Akron woman has filed a lawsuit against Hulk Hogan and Real American Beer, claiming she was injured by a beer can thrown during a promotional event.
The lawsuit stems from an incident at Thirsty Cowboys in Medina on August 19, 2024, when Michelle Harlukowicz was struck in the head by an unopened beer can.
“It’s unconscionable to think that you’re going to go to a bar to see a celebrity and end up being pelted with a can of beer,”
Eric Tayfel, Harlukowicz’s attorney, told Fox 8 News. According to the lawsuit, filed on February 10, 2025, Hogan and other unnamed promoters were tossing beer cans into the crowd to hype up the event. The lawsuit alleges that Hogan or another promoter threw the can that struck Harlukowicz, leaving her with a severe forehead wound requiring 10 stitches.
“She had an open wound to her forehead. It was pretty big. She ended up needing a number of stitches to her head, and she’s going to have some permanent scarring from that.”
The Medina Township Police Department responded to the incident but did not file charges, as officers were unable to determine who threw the can. Harlukowicz is seeking damages for medical expenses, pain and suffering, and emotional distress.
As of now, neither Hogan nor Real American Beer has publicly responded to the lawsuit.
Which Current WWE Star Does Hulk Hogan Believe Could’ve Been The Greatest Heel In History?
Hulk Hogan spoke about a current WWE star he believes had the potential to become one of the greatest heel wrestlers in history. He named none other than 16-time world champion John Cena. Hogan thinks that because Cena is one of the biggest babyfaces of all time, a heel turn would have made him one of, if not the greatest, heel wrestlers ever.
